Salt&Soul

Yoga and Swimming Classes For Adults

Taking that first step back into the pool proved to be one of the best decisions I could have made.
This would not have been possible without Sharon's kindness, positivity and encouragement, her obvious love of what she does and believes in..
What began as a way to aid my recovery soon became an enjoyable and rewarding part of my routine."

About Salt&Soul

Salt&Soul was established by Sharon Perry in 2025 with the intention of using her knowledge and teaching of swimming and yoga as a means of charitable fundraising.

Both have been an important part of my life, not just in terms of fitness, but with respect to making lifelong friendships in the UK and beyond!

In 2026, all profits from the organisation will be donated to the Grenfell Foundation. Having experienced the trauma of losing a home to fire myself, I see the support that the charity continues to offer the local community and those impacted by the  horrific events of 2017 as such an essential offer nearly 10 years on.

Donations to the charity can be made here if you wish to contribute to this great service

About Me

I’m Sharon, a lifelong swimmer and yoga practitioner. I qualified as a swimming teaching in 2004 and have dipped in and out of coaching and teaching for over 20 years. I am a fellow of the institute of swimming and fully insured. I swim competitively at a national level and have represented the triathlon GB age group team several times - my highest achievement being a bronze medal in the world aquathlon championships.

In 2025, I took the plunge and completed my 200 hour yoga teaching qualification with Barefoot Body Yoga based in Cambridge having practiced for over 30 years.  This complements my degree in Physiotherapy (Sheffield Hallam, 2007) and timed served in the NHS as both physio and physio assistant.  Although I no longer practice, the knowledge and experience gained supports my coaching practices.

This broad range of experience means I can help:

- Novice and beginner swimmers

-Those looking to train for a specific event such as triathlon or open water challenges

- Adult recovering from injury where swimming might help maintain their fitness and endurance

These sessions can be both in-person or remotely - see my booking and contact pages for further info.
